About Us

John Collins

John Collins 999 OffroadI’ve had a passion for off-road vehicles since I was a kid.  My dad bought our family’s first Jeep, a 1982 Wagoneer, when I was 10 years old, and I’ve loved 4wd vehicles ever since.  In fact, my first car was a 1983 Jeep Wagoneer that I still own today.

My brother and I began 999 Offroad because we wanted to be involved in a business that dealt with what we love to do:  building, upgrading, and wheeling off-road vehicles.

We understand what is needed on the trail and build our products to deliver the highest level of performance and durability.   We use almost all of our products on our own vehicles and anything that doesn’t live up to our standards is either redesigned or thrown in the scrap heap.  Wrenching and wheeling are what we love to do.

Knowing our customers love the same we try to offer the best products available!

Jim Collins 999 OffroadLike my brother, I can remember our family’s first Jeep.  And similar to him, my first car was a 1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer.  I have always loved wrenching on that thing; even back in high school when I didn’t know what I was doing!  After earning a Mechanical Engineering degree from Georgia Tech and serving 3 years in the US Navy I didn’t know what I wanted to do next.  Well, things just sort of fell into place.  I had some money, access to a shop, and a couple of Jeeps.  That’s when my brother and I started 999 Offroad.  We both wanted to work in a business that we loved.

We started out working days in his backyard and nights in a local shop.  That’s when we designed and built our first differential covers and Full Size Jeep skids plates.  Since then we’ve learned a lot and our business has grown, but we still love working on and wheeling our Jeeps.

Every product we make is designed to deliver the highest quality and performance.

If we wouldn’t use it ourselves then we don’t sell it.

Let us know how we can help make your off-road rig the best it can be!
